Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme

Cardiac rehabilitation is an individualised programme that offers a combination of exercise and education along your road of recovery from cardiac diseases. It helps to improve your cardiac fitness and reduce your risks of future heart problems. It also guides and supports you to achieve an active and healthy lifestyle. Our physiotherapist will show you how to exercise safely and effectively based on your condition. Throughout your rehabilitation, we will monitor your progress and provide feedback to your cardiologist.

The programme is for individuals who have:
  • Myocardial infarction
  • Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)
  • Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG)
  • Valve replacement
  • Heart failure
  • Cardiac transplant
  • Pacemaker/ ICD implantation

The programme is also for those who have the following cardiac risk factors:
  • Hypertension
  • Dyslipidemia
  • Diabetes
  • Obesity

A closely supervised exercise programme, which helps to encourage patients to continue their exercise programme and implement a healthy lifestyle. It is highly beneficial to those who are less motivated to continue exercise on their own.
